08:00 - 09:00 Hotel Pick-up
We will inform you of the appointed meeting time the day before your tour. At the agreed time in the morning, your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Shanghai and take you to the Zhujiajiao Water Town by a comfortable vehicle.
09:00 - 12:00 Drive to Visit Zhujiajiao Water Town
After a 1-hour drive, you will arrive at the 1700-year-old Zhujiajiao Water Town, a famous ancient town also known as the Venice of Shanghai. Escape away from the hustle and bustle of the metropolis and enjoy the picturesque scenery comprising quaint buildings and peaceful canals. Your guide will show you Fangsheng Bridge, the Post Office of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911 AD), and the Kezhi Garden. Besides, you will also enjoy a traditional boat trip on the river from Kezhi Garden to North Street.
12:00 - 13:00 Free Time for Lunch in Zhujiajiao
At Zhujiajiao, you will be pleased by not only the fascinating scenery but also delicious local food and snacks. You will arrange the lunch on your own to try some authentic Chinese food per your interest. Your guide is willing to give you some helpful advice on the choice of restaurant.
13:00 - 15:30 Drive to Visit the Yu Garden
After lunch, you will be transferred back to the downtown area and head to visit the Yu Garden, famous for the elegant and classical garden designs in traditional Chinese style. You will have enough time to explore the beautiful carvings, grotesque rocks, and artistic gardens.
15:30 - 16:10 Yu Garden Old Street
After visiting the garden, you will take a stroll at the Yu Garden Old Street, where you can get a taste of ancient Chinese business streets and meet traditional buildings and popular stores selling interesting decorations and delicious street foods.
16:10 - 17:00 Drive to Visit the Bund
After visiting the traditional wonders, you will continue to the Bund, where you will glimpse at the modern prosperity of this city. You will see the Huangpu River and skyscrapers such as the Oriental Pearl Tower, the World Finical Center, and the Shanghai Tower.
17:00 - 18:00 Hotel Drop-off
After the walk at the Bund, you will be escorted back to your hotel. If you want to enjoy more of the Bund, you can take a further stroll and go back to the hotel by yourself. Just need a 20-minute walk northward from the Bund, you will the popular Nanjing Road. Your guide will be happy to give you directions.
