08:00 Hotel Pick-up
In the morning, your tour guide will collect you at your hotel at the appointed time that you fixed the day before. After a warm greeting, you will be escorted to the Temple of Heaven to start your guided mini-group day tour.
09:00 - 11:00 Visit Temple of Heaven
Famous as a World Cultural Heritage, the Temple of Heaven, was once the imperial place for the worship of Heaven and pray for harvests in the Ming (1368-1644 AD) and Qing Dynasty (1644-1911 AD). Besides enjoying the structures and learning about Chinese culture, you will also get close to the local people's leisure life here, as the attraction is also a large park where local people prefer to do exercises, play chess, practice Taichi, and etc.
11:00 - 13:30 Hutong Rickshaw Tour & Free Time for Lunch
The next stop is Hutong Alleys, where you will enjoy an interesting rickshaw tour, which could bring you the illusion of traveling to the early 20th century of China. You will also enjoy some free time here and have lunch on your own. Your guide is willing to give you some advice on authentic restaurants that meet your taste.
13:30 - 15:00 Visit Lama Temple
In the afternoon, you will proceed to the Lama Temple, an imperial Tibetan Buddhist temple built in the late Ming Dynasty. You will be amazed by the splendid structures and mysterious Tibetan Buddhism and also see many local people praying here for good luck.
15:00 - 17:30 Visit Summer Palace
Next, you will be escorted to visit the Summer Palace, the best-preserved and largest-scaled imperial garden in China. Built in the Qing Dynasty, the Summer Palace is based on the Kunming Lake, a pretty large natural lake in Beijing, and the Longevity Hill, which lies by Kunming Lake.
17:30 Hotel Drop-off
After the visit, you will be escorted back to your hotel in Beijing.
