In the morning, your guide will greet you in the lobby of your hotel at about 09:00. Then we will take a comfortable ride to the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, which showcases the past, present, and future of Shanghai, with an emphasis on the development plan for the next 20 years. There, you can view many textual and graphic files and architectural models, which will help you get an overall understanding of the development of Shanghai.
After that, we will continue to head to the Yu Garden. Built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), Yu Garden has a history of over 400 years. The main buildings include Sansui Hall, Wanhua Chamber, Dianchun Hall, Huijing Hall, and Yuhua Hall. Renowned as a shining jewel among the classical gardens in the southern Yangtze River, it mainly features waterside pavilions, artistic stone carvings, and wood engravings.
Later, we will guide you in a walk along the bustling Yuyuan market. Lunch is left for your arrangement. You can taste some wonderful local foods in the market. Your guide will gladly help you with the choice of nice restaurants.
Next, this Shanghai city tour package will continue to the lively Bund Area to admire its essential part - the architectural complex of 52 exotic and glorious buildings. Then, we will get to the World Financial Center in the Pudong Area to have a fantastic bird's eye view of the whole city.
The last stop is Tianzifang, an old-style cultural block featuring distinctive Shikumen buildings with art studios, themed cafés and bars, and handicraft workshops. After the visit, you will be escorted back to the hotel.
